Lawyer warns of five reasons why you could lose your job

Moscow, October 18, FederalPress. An employee's behavior at work may become a reason for the employer to immediately fire the subordinate. There are several reasons for this. Attorney David Adams, general manager of the specialized legal group AID, warned against this.

According to Adams, intoxicated employees are unable to perform their jobs and pose a danger to others, especially when working with equipment or hazardous materials. Even one such violation can end your career.

There is a second reason for dismissal. Disclosure of confidential information protected by law, including national or commercial, as well as personal data of colleagues or clients. Employers take such violations seriously, since the leakage of confidential information can cause damage to the company.

The lawyer also warned against stealing your employer's property. This could be the third reason for dismissal. The same applies if employees systematically abuse office supplies or use public transport for personal purposes.

The lawyer also emphasized that in all cases the employer is obliged to comply with the dismissal procedure stipulated by the Labor Code, including obtaining a written explanation from the employee, issuing an order of dismissal and notifying the employee of it by signing it. If the employer violates the procedure, the dismissal may be recognized as illegal, and the employee reinstated in his previous job, RIA Novosti reports.
