According to military experts interviewed by Lenta.ru, the turning point in the fighting in the Kursk region occurred after the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in early August 2024. They believe that this has already happened or is happening now.

Head of the Department of Political Analysis and Social Psychology Courses at the Russian School of Economics and military expert at the Association of Military Political Scientists, Andrey Koshkin, agrees with Dandykin. He also noted that the Russian counteroffensive in the Kursk region is developing successfully.
