Following a fatal accident involving a truck in the Amur Region, investigators have opened a criminal case under the article on violation of traffic rules, the press service of the Inspector General for Sustainable Security of the Russian region reported.
Currently, all circumstances of the case are being established. On-site inspections and inspection of vehicles have been conducted. A number of necessary forensic medical examinations have also been indicated.
The accident occurred on the evening of October 17 on the 1476 km section of the federal highway "Amur". A truck with fireworks and a passenger car collided on the road, after which both cars caught fire. As a result of the accident, four people died, including two children.
Earlier in Astrakhan, 12 people were hospitalized after a collision with a shuttle bus belonging to the Gazprom Dobycha Astrakhan company. All were in a moderate condition.
