Lukashenko insists on Belarus' participation in Ukraine talks

Minsk, October 18, FederalPress. Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that representatives of the republic should be present at the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that without Minsk's participation, the republic could face the risk of losing part of its territory.

Alexander Lukashenko also noted that, although there is no direct threat of losing territories such as Gomel or Polesie, any possible decision could negatively impact the country's future.

According to the president, Western countries, influenced by the Belarusian opposition, are trying to exclude Minsk from the conflict resolution process. Lukashenko claims that the opposition fears his steadfastness and ability to protect Belarusian interests.

As 360.ru previously reported, Alexander Lukashenko explained why he was declaring war on Kyiv. He also promised to help Russia.
