Trump Blames Zelensky for Starting Conflict in Ukraine
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on the PBD podcast that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky bears personal responsibility for starting the conflict with Russia.
According to him, the Ukrainian leader said: "This should not have been allowed to start." At the same time, the former president said that this "does not mean that we do not want to help Ukraine."
The former head of the White House also called Zelensky the best salesman. "Every time he shows up, we give him $100 billion. Who in history has ever gotten that kind of money?" Trump said.
President Trump has previously said that Europe is providing less money in its aid to Ukraine than the United States is providing to Kyiv. He also recalled that during his time in the White House, he urged European NATO allies to contribute more to the alliance.
