Andrei Arshavin is going to get a coaching license

Former Zenit footballer Andrei Arshavin will receive final certification for a coaching license in November. He told TASS about this on the sidelines of the Russia – Sports Power forum.

Arshavin is preparing to become a coach at the Russian Football Union Academy. He currently holds the position of deputy director for sports development at Zenit.

He also added that he would be happy to receive the certificate and would like to work in a team as a coach in the second or third division.

Andrey Arshavin played for Zenit from 1999 to 2008 and from 2012 to 2015. He also played for Kuban, London's Arsenal, Kazakhstan's Kairat and the Russian national team.

Arshavin is one of the most successful footballers in Russian history. As part of Zenit, he won three national championships, the UEFA Cup and the Super Cup, and also won a bronze medal at the 2008 European Championship as part of the Russian national team.
