Over the year, the New Year's food basket has increased in price by only 1.43%, Rusprodsoyuz stated

The feast is one of the most important elements of the New Year. According to Rusprodsoyuz, this year Russians will have to pay about 11,740 rubles for a festive dinner. As reported by "Moscow 24", experts compared current prices in stores with prices for the same period last year.

For example, in October of this year, the price of 1 kg of red caviar fell by 3.8% and is now sold for 6,030 rubles. But for red fish, on the contrary, you will have to pay 1,161 rubles, adding 7% per kilogram. A kilogram of cheese can be purchased for 822.4 rubles, which is 8.1% more expensive than last year.

1 kg of semi-smoked and cooked-smoked sausage can be purchased for 669.9 rubles, the price has increased by 7.5%. The cost of 1 kg of cooked sausage to a citizen is 538.2 rubles, the price increase is 8.1%. Dry-cured sausages have increased in price by 9.5%. Today 1 kg costs 1280.5 rubles.

The price of mayonnaise has also increased by 3.86%. It can be purchased for 286.9 rubles. The price of Xiamen wine has increased by 8.8%. Now the price of one bottle is 503.6 rubles. Among fruits, oranges have become cheaper. You will have to pay 159.8 rubles per kilogram, which is 12.15% less than in October 2023.

"Thus, in 2024, purchasing food for the New Year's table will cost Russians 11,740 rubles, compared to 11,574.6 rubles last year. Over the year, the cost of holiday sets has increased by 1.43%," Rusprodsoyuz emphasized.

Earlier, the Fishing Union reassured Russians concerned about the shortage of red caviar in the new year. Experts note that there are still reserves of last year's delicacy on the market.
