The wren, Europe's smallest bird, has arrived in Kaliningrad for the winter. The nimble northern hummingbird is rarely caught by amateur photographers, but Tatyana Vinogradova caught a yellow-headed kingbird.
As Tatyana told Klops, she discovered the bird in a park in Kaliningrad in early October. The photo shows an individual with a yellow head and a red spot on the forehead. According to Vinogradova, there are many such birds in the region now.
"Photographing small, active birds is not an easy task. It requires patience and skill. However, the wren is not a very timid person, so I did not have to sit in ambush for long. "Like in a cartoon, they willingly sing along to the song," the photographer said.
