A British couple lives with 20 parrots, writes the Daily Star. The couple often take their pets outside and invite people to take photos and interact with them.
David and Jill Vickery live at home with 20 parrots. The couple said they started rescuing birds about 40 years ago and have dedicated their lives to it. They said the number of abandoned birds increased after the COVID-19 incident, so they took in more than they had originally planned.
David noted that human-reared parrots cannot be returned to the wild and that many bird owners do not know how to care for them. He added that he often goes for walks with his wife and their birds, inviting people to interact with their pets.
To raise money for veterinary care, the couple invited strangers to take photos with the birds for a small fee.
