Putin announced an increase in the number of Russians involved in sports
The head of state explained that since 2019, about 160 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for the development of sports facilities.
"As a result, in recent years, the number of citizens who regularly engage in sports and, in general, are more attentive and responsible about their health has increased significantly. The number of citizens who regularly engage in sports has increased from 40% to 56.8%. I have become interested in sports. But this is not enough. We must continue to work," the Kremlin's Telegram channel quotes him as saying.
Let me remind you that the Russian leader arrived in Ufa on Thursday. His previous visit to Bashkiria took place in January 2023.
