Rosselkhoznadzor has restricted the import of a number of agricultural products from Kazakhstan since October 17

Since October 17, Rosselkhoznadzor has temporarily restricted the import of wheat, lentils, tomatoes, peppers and melons from Kazakhstan to Russia. This information is published on the agency's website.

"We are introducing temporary restrictions on the import of wheat (soft and hard), lentils and flaxseed oil from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the territory of the Russian Federation from October 17, 2024," the statement said.

According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, 215 cases of detection of quarantine objects in products imported from Kazakhstan have been registered since the beginning of 2024. This is four times more than last year.

At the same time, Rosselkhoznadzor did not prohibit the transportation of Kazakhstani products through Russian territory, provided that a phytosanitary certificate is issued directly in the country of final destination and the grain is transshipped directly from railway cars to ship docks.

Last summer, Rosselkhoznadzor reported that pesticides were found in vegetables and fruits from Armenia after joint exercises with the United States.
