Kyiv Again Asks Biden for Air Defense Systems

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden again asked to speed up the delivery of air defense systems. This was reported by the press service of Zelensky's office on its website.

During the conversation, it was noted that special attention was paid to “increasing the level of defense cooperation in the coming months.”

The White House press service previously reported that after Biden's conversation with Zelensky, the US President announced the allocation of a new weapons package to Ukraine totaling $425 million, including additional air defense systems.

The Ukrainian authorities continue to call on their Western partners to provide new military aid and periodically criticize them for delays and shortages of supplies. Therefore, attempts are being made in Kyiv to shift responsibility for the failures of the Ukrainian army to its allies.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that arms supplies to Kyiv will not change the situation on the front line, but will only prolong the conflict.
