Aisen Nikolaev launched the main stage of construction of the Lena Bridge
Yakutsk, October 17, FederalPress. Today, October 17, the main stage of construction of the Lena Bridge began in the area of the village of Tabaga in Yakutia. The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, began pouring the first pile of bores for the support. The construction of the large-scale engineering structure is being carried out on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Nikolaev also emphasized that this project is unique, since similar bridges have never been built in permafrost conditions before.
"I am confident that this decision will benefit future generations for many years to come and will provide a powerful impetus for further acceleration of development not only in Yakutia, but also in the entire northeastern part of the country," added the head of the region.
It is important to note that the Lena Bridge will play a key role in the economy of the Far East, creating a transport and logistics hub in Yakutsk. The road bridge is planned to be two-lane with a capacity of 5,300 vehicles per day. The Lena Bridge connects the Trans-Siberian and Baikal-Amur Mainlines with the Northern Sea Route, and the Lena and Kolyma Mainlines with the Vilyuy Highway.
Let us recall that President Vladimir Putin announced the need to implement this large-scale project at the Eastern Economic Forum.
