WHO does not expect a major outbreak of COVID-19 in Russia in the near future
In a conversation with journalists, the Director General of the World Health Organization in Russia, Batyr Berdyklychev, gave forecasts for the near future regarding the incidence of coronavirus infection in Russia.
According to him, there is no point in talking about the emergence of this infection in the near future.
“The country is not expecting a large-scale outbreak of Covid,” the WHO expert said. “It has become a permanent disease with no seasonality.”
For this reason, it was clarified that new cases of COVID-19 do not have a clear seasonality and are recorded throughout the year.
