Mandatory evacuation of all civilians announced from Kupyansk

The Ukrainian authorities have admitted that they cannot provide people with light and heat, but they are most afraid of an attack by Russian forces.

Ukraine has decided to begin the mandatory evacuation of the city of Kupyansk and a number of settlements in the Kharkiv region, reported the head of the regional administration (OVA) Oleg Sinegubov.

TASS, citing local media, reported that this was due to the “worsening situation,” namely the impossibility of starting the heating season and the impossibility of guaranteeing electricity supply.

According to Sinegubov, the Russian army approached the Oskol River and after some time was able to cross it.

The day before, he reported that there were about 4,000 people left in Kupyansk, most of them pensioners, and a total of 7,000 people needed to be evicted from the area.
