Kotyakov: Maternity capital for the first child will increase by 46 thousand rubles in 2025
Maternity capital in Russia will be indexed by 2025, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov announced at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
Compared to this year, the payment amount increases by 46,000 rubles for the first child and by 61,000 rubles for the second child.
According to the minister, from February 1, maternity capital will be indexed based on actual inflation. Thus, the amount of payment for the first child is 677,000 rubles, and for the second child - 894,000 rubles (if the parents did not receive the payment at the birth of the first child).
What can maternity capital be spent on?
Maternity capital is paid to families within the framework of the national project "Demography". These payments can be used to improve housing conditions, educate children, and pay for the social rehabilitation of disabled children.
In this case, the funds can be used as the mother’s funded pension or as a monthly payment for a second child under the age of three.
What other benefits can I get for my children in 2024?
This benefit is for pregnant women with low incomes. You can apply if your family's total income per person is below the local poverty line. Parents must be working or have a valid reason not to work.
Monthly child care allowance up to 1.5 years. Both employed and unemployed mothers (or relatives raising children) can apply. This payment depends on the mother's earnings over the past two years.
Monthly allowance for child care up to 3 years. Only families officially recognized as poor have the right to receive the allowance. The amount of the allowance is equal to the standard of living of the child in the given area.
This is a monthly allowance for children under 7. It can be received if the total income of each family is below the standard of living in the region.
Monthly allowance for children aged 8 to 17. The amount of such allowances is 50% of the local standard of living of the child (on average in the country 8263 rubles).
Payment for the third and subsequent children. Benefits are classified by region, and there is no fixed amount by law. Large families with three or more children are eligible to receive benefits.
