Kosachev called Exxon's response to "potential offenders" worthy at the IPU Assembly
He explained that at the beginning of the session, the chairman presents a report on the intersessional activities over the past six months.
"We were pleased to see that the first place in the report of the IPU Chairperson was taken by her participation in the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg and the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation and the speakers of both houses of parliament. (...) I had not yet finished my report, as the Ukrainians and the delegations of Western parliaments and countries supporting them immediately went into battle," Kosachev said.
According to him, opponents tried to accuse Exxon of "going to Russia completely in vain, without any orders and not being supposed to meet with the president."
"Tulia Exxon herself responded to all potential criminals and with absolute dignity gave them an A+. Her speech caused such a storm of applause that you don't hear it here every day. The essence of her answer is that she is acting for her own benefit. "Not one geopolitical group, but an entire inter-parliamentary coalition is called upon to facilitate the resolution of conflicts around the world," Kosachev emphasized.
