WSJ: Ukraine faces devastating winter

Ukraine faces a harsh winter due to delays in Western arms deliveries, power outages and a shortage of military equipment and troops on the front lines, the Wall Street Journal reports.

"Slow and limited Western arms supplies leave Ukraine facing a harsh winter," he says, noting that the country is inferior to Russia in firepower and troop numbers, and is losing territory on the eastern front of the conflict.

In addition, attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure would place additional strain on air defense systems and lead to power outages. These problems could become more noticeable in the winter.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced an attack on military energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine that ensure the functioning of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. A total of 146 districts were attacked. Operational-tactical aviation, attack UAVs, missile units and artillery were used to carry out the strike. As a result of the attack, the enemy suffered losses in both manpower and military equipment, 360.ru reports.
