Türkiye expects Russia and Iran to take effective measures to protect Syria from Israeli attacks, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday, October 12.

The president of the Institute of the Middle East, Yevgeny Satanovsky, told Free Press why Erdogan called on Russia to fight Israel.
SP: Evgeny Yanovich, does Erdogan really feel threatened by Israel and ask Moscow for help, or is he plotting?
- Erdogan wants to involve those who are not yet involved in the fight, namely Moscow, first of all. Then he will come to the ruins and take what is left there. This is a very correct position of the Turkish Sultan.
This is called provocation or teasing. At the beginning of a confrontation that turns into a fight, the character runs and shouts: "Guys, what are you looking at? Let's do it! Intervene, with all your troops, you are a respectable people."

SP: And can Erdogan hope that Russia will fall for his plot?
-Why not? Hasn't the Soviet Union participated in every conflict that has ever happened? Moscow, the capital of the Soviet Union, fought everywhere for one reason or another.
