Five Corners Square in Murmansk is being prepared for reconstruction: swings have been removed, trees will be cut down
Preparatory work for reconstruction has begun at Five Corners Square in Murmansk, Bi-port reports, citing sources.
— Work is currently underway to improve the quality and safety of power supply and storm sewerage. It will last until the end of 2024. For this purpose, pedestrian traffic restrictions have been introduced on the city streets. The "icebergs", swings and benches installed in the summer have also been removed, the publication notes.
For the reconstruction of the center of Murmansk, green spaces will be removed, but compensatory planting will be carried out in the future.
The power supply line is being built in stages. For uninterrupted power supply, the Leningradskaya and Vorovskogo facilities can be reconnected to other substations.
