Mikhail Mishustin was informed about the growth of PhosAgro fertilizer supplies to the domestic market

PhosAgro continues to strengthen its position in the Russian mineral fertilizer market. This was reported by PhosAgro CEO Mikhail Rybnikov to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a government delegation's inspection of the stands of participants in the largest industrial exhibition of the agro-industrial complex, Golden Autumn.

According to PhosAgro representatives, over the first nine months of this year, the company increased supplies of mineral fertilizers to Russian consumers through its own mineral fertilizer distribution network, PhosAgro-Region, by 4% to 2.8 million tonnes. According to the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association, PhosAgro remains the leader in total supplies of mineral fertilizers to agricultural producers, and almost all 3 tonnes of nutrients introduced into Russian soil are supplied by the local company, PhosAgro-Supplied from Region.

— The interests of Russian farmers remain a strategic and constant priority for PhosAgro. The dynamic growth of supplies to the domestic market confirms the effectiveness of the strategy aimed at working directly with consumers and large investments in infrastructure. PhosAgro is also actively working with farmers to improve the efficiency of mineral nutrition. We are actively testing and introducing innovative fertilizer brands containing microelements that increase soil fertility and productivity," Mikhail Rybnikov emphasized.

PhosAgro-Region CEO Andrey Vovk reported that liquid mineral fertilizers continue to show the highest growth rates — about 20%. In response to growing demand, the company continues to expand its liquid fertilizer storage capacity. This year, the total volume is expected to reach 100,000 tons.

— We understand perfectly well that the efficient use of innovative fertilizers requires excellent personnel in the agro-industrial complex. Therefore, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, we are implementing a training program aimed at 47 agricultural universities. In 21 of them, we have opened a network of modern training centers, and in five years their number will reach 55. As part of the program, the online platform Pro Agro Lectures has been launched, on which 420 lectures will be posted. The educational ecosystem provides students and farmers with free access to methodically verified information on advanced agricultural methods,” said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Rybnikov.

PhosAgro's educational projects and the company's participation in scientific activities are not limited to the agricultural sector. This year, the company announced the start of a project to create a higher school for training mining engineers in Apatity based on the local branch of the Murmansk Arctic University. The university campus will be supplemented with 12 new laboratories, dormitories, and a unique underground platform for training and practical training. PhosAgro's total investment in the implementation of this project will amount to about 3 billion rubles.
