Putin signs law on depriving drivers of licenses for one violation
The bill was introduced to the State Duma in May 2024.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a bill that allows drivers to lose their licenses for a period of one to one and a half years. The text of the regulation has been published on the official Internet portal.
The new law provides for the deprivation of rights for up to one year and six months for using special devices. In this case, we are talking about a special frame that flips the number plate when passing under the camera. The frame is controlled remotely from inside the cabin.
Previously, concealing or intentionally changing a license plate resulted in the loss of a license for a period of one to three months.
