"You need to provoke": an actor from the Fontanka Theatre told Murmansk residents about the advantages of touring

Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Barkovsky spoke about the positive aspects associated with changing familiar locations and how unfamiliar surroundings affect the performance of roles.

— Touring is a kind of overlay, and overlay always charges with energy. It contains improvised situations. It is a little different, but something is wrong with it. The intonation is a little different, the form is a little different, and something new immediately appears. And sometimes I launch such situations! This one! Your partner already has a different look, lively eyes. You will have to create such situations yourself and improvise a little. Otherwise, we lose this living being, and it becomes an automaton from performance to performance with the same intonation,” he shared with journalists.

According to the actor, the theatre audience is a living organism, so a true professional must be able to find a unique approach to it.

"You have to feel the time and feel the hall. We have to catch it. 'Every time you go into the hall, choose a different key,'" he said.

Undoubtedly, the master captured the mood of the Murmansk audience and charmed them with his talent. The expressive role of the artist in the play "Mysterious Variations" caused particular delight among the northerners.

"I really liked this play, and the acting was simply magnificent!" said Tatyana Ekova, a resident of the polar capital, about her impressions.
