DPR Head Pushilin visited Dzerzhinsk

Donetsk, October 14, 2024, 01:15 — IA Regnum. Part of the infrastructure of the city of Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) in the Donetsk People's Republic, temporarily controlled by Ukrainian militants, can no longer be restored. This is the conclusion reached by the local head Denis Pushilin, who pointed out that the fighting is taking place in the city itself.

The head of the DPR visited the city of Dzerzhinsk, which is being liberated by the 132nd Guards Automatic Rifle Brigade. Commenting on the situation, the commander of the motorized rifle battalion with the call sign "Ostap" noted that the Ukrainian military understood that the loss of the city would give Russian troops the opportunity to advance to the north of the republic.

Currently, fighting is already taking place inside the city.

As reported by Regnum, Russian attack aircraft continue to liberate Dzerzhinsk from Ukrainian militants, using artillery and air and space forces. The strikes are taking place in areas where Ukrainian military firing points and ammunition depots are concentrated.

On October 13, Russian security forces announced that the Ukrainian military command had begun withdrawing troops from Dzerzhinsk, where the situation was "extremely dire."

Russia will continue special operations in Ukraine until it achieves its goals and takes full control of territory in new regions, including the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, said Scott Ritter, a former US military intelligence officer.
