The State Duma supported the idea of raising the minimum wage to 22,440 rubles

This ratio, compared to the average salary in the previous year, increases to 48%.

The State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs supported the government's bill to increase the minimum wage to 22,440 rubles from January 1, 2025.

It is noted that this plan is the result of the task set by the President of the Russian Federation to increase the minimum wage more than twofold by 2030 to a level of at least 35 thousand rubles per month. The bill proposes to increase the minimum wage by 16.6%, or 22,440 rubles, in 2025.

– The coefficient compared to the median salary of the previous year increases to 48%. According to Rosstat, the average salary in 2023 will be 46,751 rubles, TASS reports in the explanatory note to the bill.

The authors of the proposal note that the implementation of the bill's provisions will help increase wages for at least 4.2 million workers across the country.

Let us recall that by 2025, maternity capital will increase in Russia. This was announced by Labor Minister Anton Kotyakov on October 14, speaking at the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
