Worker Dies After Falling into Elevator Shaft at Primorye Construction Site
A worker died after falling into an elevator shaft at a construction site in Primorye. A criminal case has been opened, the regional Investigative Committee reported to the media.
"The investigative body of the Investigative Committee for Primorsky Krai has opened a criminal case into the death of a worker at a construction site on Slutskogo Street in Primorsky Krai on the grounds of crimes under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety regulations during construction or other work)," the statement says.
According to preliminary data, on the evening of October 17, a worker born in 2001 fell into an elevator shaft and received injuries incompatible with life.
The inspector must assess compliance with the requirements of the law in the organization and conduct of construction work and find those responsible for the death of the builders. An inspection will be conducted on site. The details of the incident are currently being clarified. Includes a forensic medical examination.
