Russian Defense Ministry: Helicopters Destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces Armored Vehicles in Kursk Region
RIA Novosti reported this regarding the Russian Defense Ministry. The helicopters were operating as part of a mixed tactical group, the department noted.
The airstrikes hit armored vehicles and personnel of the Ukrainian army. The Russian Defense Ministry said that an armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian army was destroyed at the coordinates of the air controller. Then the helicopter crew laid anti-missile mines.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that on the morning of August 6, Ukrainian troops attempted to advance deep into the Kursk region. On the evening of August 9, a counter-terrorist operation system was introduced in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the invasion of Ukrainian troops into the Kursk region was an attempt to block the advance of Russian troops into the territories of the DPR, LPR and Novorossiya.
The head of state promised a reasonable response to attacks on Ukraine's border territories.
