Media: Family that fled Latvia due to discrimination plans to live in Russia
The Belarusian TV channel ONT reported on plans to move to Russia by a family of seven who left Latvia due to discrimination against the Russian-speaking population, TASS reports.
According to the agency, Belarusian border guards had previously stated that the couple had tried to take them to Europe. In Latvia, she lost many benefits and began receiving threats to deprive her of parental rights.
ONT also stated that it wants the family to move to Russia. With the help of the Russian Foundation for Aid and Assistance, the large family in the Smolensk region will start a new life.
