The plane damaged its landing gear doors during landing at Vnukovo due to a hydraulic system failure

A Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger plane belonging to Azimuth Airlines damaged its landing gear door during an emergency landing at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. The Aviamotorshchina Telegram channel reported that this was due to a hydraulic system malfunction.

The incident occurred on October 16 on flight AZO6015 from Mineralnye Vody to Ivanovo. At an altitude of 10 km, the crew informed the dispatcher that the fluid level in the first hydraulic system was low. In connection with this, the aircraft commander decided to make an emergency landing at the alternate airfield Vnukovo.

The pilots did not call for distress or emergency assistance, but the airport issued a Code Blue alert.

According to the channel, sparks flew out from under the plane when it landed on the runway, and during a post-flight inspection, specialists discovered a hydraulic oil leak and damage to the landing gear flaps.

The passengers and crew of the plane were not injured. According to Aviamotorshchina, the plane was stopped. Rosaviatsiya has launched an investigation into the incident.

It was reported that on October 1, a passenger plane heading to Kaliningrad made an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo Airport after a landing gear malfunction sensor was triggered.
