Cassandra Madison started hanging out with Thomas Buonaghiryo in elementary school. Both were in foster care in the Dominican Republic, and one of the people at the adoption agency said the man and woman might be related. However, there was no evidence to support this.
In 2013, Madison met Julia Tinetti. They worked at the same restaurant and soon began joking that they were sisters. Tinetti was also adopted from the Dominican Republic. In 2019, Madison found her biological father and admitted that she gave up another girl for adoption along with her. Madison and Tinetti turn out to be sisters. At the same time, the man emphasized that he does not have a son.
After her father's statement, Madison stopped believing that Buonaghirio could be her brother, but her husband was against it. He suggested that the woman contact his childhood friend and ask for a DNA test just in case. Madison wrote a letter to Buonaghirio, and he agreed. The investigation established that they were relatives.
The siblings claimed that the biological mother secretly gave birth to a son after an argument with her husband, and that the husband knew nothing about it. Madison explained that since their mother was no longer alive, there was no one to confirm this theory. In addition to Tinetti and Buonaghiryo, Madison has seven more siblings.
