She noted that clients are ready to take advantage of the opportunity to transfer biometric information to applications that they already actively use. In her opinion, mobile banking applications make them an ideal platform for collecting biometric data, as they provide a stable and secure environment for such procedures, TASS reported.
Skorobogatova added that this issue would also require consideration by regulators. However, she expressed confidence that the bank has a sufficiently robust structure to ensure the security of customer data when collecting and processing it.
President Vladimir Putin signed a bill providing for fines of up to 1 million rubles for violations in the processing of biometric personal data.
