Real meat is based on muscle tissue. It is rich in protein, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. However, if you add various additives and meat substitutes to minced meat, it can easily spoil.

"The second main component of pelmeni is flour," explains Spakhov. "Almost always of the highest quality. This means that such flour is quite harmful. Therefore, it will be much healthier if you make cutlets from non-standard bread made from low-grade flour or whole grain or even rye. Of course, if the pork cutlet is made from good meat.

The third important factor is the ratio of good meat (if there is any) to dough (not always healthy). This information is known only about homemade pelmeni. (After all, you can tell how much minced meat and flour you used.) But pelmeni do not have them. There is only one reference point that can indirectly determine this relationship. The smaller the pelmeni, the higher the proportion of dough and less meat.

"What you eat with pelmeni can have a big impact on the benefits and harms of pelmeni," says the expert. - For example, any meat dish becomes healthier if you add vegetables to it. So I suggest the following options: Be sure to eat a salad before eating pelmeni, and then enjoy it separately.

Taking pelmeni is more difficult than taking pills. The average weight of a typical pelmeni is 10-13 g, and the distribution of pelmeni per serving is very large - from 11 to 30 pieces. It is recommended to avoid excesses and eat no more than 20 pelmeni at a time.
