Moldovan businessman Vyacheslav Platon has been accused of withdrawing more than 48 billion rubles from Russia. This was reported by the press center of the Russian Interior Ministry.

Earlier, the investigation found him guilty in absentia of embezzling 126 billion rubles through illegal currency transactions through the Moldovan bank JSC CB Moldindconbank.

All the crimes were committed according to the same plan, which was controlled by the accused together with his accomplices Vladimir Plahotniuc, Alexander Korkin and Renato Usatii.

Last summer, Moldova's prosecutor's office reopened a corruption investigation into former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo, who recently announced his candidacy for president.
