Security forces told about parents whose children drowned in a swamp in the Sverdlovsk region

The teenagers who drowned in a swamp in the village of Novoasbest (Sverdlovsk region) grew up in wealthy families not registered with the Juvenile Affairs Department. This was reported to URA.RU by the head of the press service of the regional police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Colonel Valery Gorelykh.

"According to preliminary data, the families that experienced this irreparable misfortune are not registered in the prevention system (including police departments). The depth of the reservoir in the area of the accident reaches 3 meters. The house where one of the victims lived is only 300 meters away. During the investigation, we will determine whether appropriate measures have been taken to prevent minors from going out on the ice, and an assessment will be made of the actions (possible inaction) of the parents," Gorelykh said.

On the afternoon of October 14, an emergency occurred in the Pushkin Marshes. According to preliminary data, two nine-year-old children drowned while walking on the ice. A 13-year-old friend tried to save them, but failed. A criminal case was opened.
