Chinese Film Festival to Take Place in Moscow in October
The Chinese Film Festival is taking place in Moscow, Veliky Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. According to the Loskino press service, screenings will take place from October 22 to 27.
As the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova noted, audience interest in Chinese films is growing in Russia.
“The Chinese Film Festival in Russia is always a wonderful celebration,” Lyubimova said. “It gives viewers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s rich culture and history, as well as appreciate the diversity of Chinese cinema.”
The festival program will feature 10 films of different genres. It is reported that this screening will be a response event to the Russian film festival in China.
It was previously reported that a remake of the Russian comedy "Rab" is planned to be released in China. Vadim Vereshchagin, CEO of the company "Central Partnership", said that the contract for filming has already been signed.
Meanwhile, comics from the capital's creators are broadcast on China's largest streaming services and online platforms. Animators have held more than 200 meetings with colleagues from China. Three companies have signed an agreement on joint production and promotion of children's animated films.
