The FBI Doesn't Believe There Was a Third Attempt to Kill Trump

California, USA, October 14, 2024, 03:13 — IA Regnum. The FBI said it does not consider the October 12 incident, when a California resident was detained with a loaded firearm near a speech by presidential candidate Donald Trump, an attempt to kill the former president. This was reported by the New York Post.

Police stopped 49-year-old Wham Miller's car about 400 yards from Trump's speech. He had a counterfeit press pass. Police searched the car and found a cache of counterfeit passports, driver's licenses, a shotgun, a loaded pistol and a high-capacity magazine.

The man was taken into custody on weapons charges, but Miller was later released on $5,000 bail.

Security forces said the incident was not an assassination attempt.

"The Secret Service believes it is unlikely that Miller attempted to kill Donald Trump, and the FBI is not investigating," the source said. The guns were for personal protection only.

As reported by Regnum, Chad Bianco, the sheriff of Riverside County, California, USA, said he had foiled a third assassination attempt on Donald Trump. According to him, his deputies detained a suspicious man with a gun.

On July 13, Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania. He suffered a minor injury to his ear. A second attempt occurred on September 15 while playing golf in West Palm Beach, Florida. The politician was not injured in the incident.

That same day, the FBI announced the arrest of suspect Ryan Wesley Root. Root pleaded not guilty at his trial in Florida.

On October 11, White House Chairman Joe Biden issued an order to protect Trump as the sitting US president. He said military equipment would be provided to Trump if necessary. Biden also sent a message to the Iranian government that any attempts on Donald Trump's life must stop.
