Maternity capital promised to increase by tens of thousands of rubles
Authorities predict that these types of payments will increase in 2025.
According to information presented by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, in 2025, maternity capital will increase by 46 thousand rubles. In particular, payments for the second child will increase by 61,000 rubles. Thus, if the parents have not received alimony for the first child, the amount of payments for the first and second child will be 677,000 rubles and 894,000 rubles, respectively.
Kotyakov also emphasized that more than 1 million citizens will use the maternity capital fund. This is an important step in supporting families and developing the demographic situation in the country, RIA Novosti reports.
In early September, member of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy Ekaterina Stenyakina noted that the amount of maternity capital for the first child could reach 646,000 rubles, and for the second - up to 854,000 rubles. In the budget for next year, 694.2 billion rubles are planned for the maternity capital program, which indicates a serious social policy of the country related to the support of families with children.
Currently, as of February 1 of this year, maternity capital is 631,000 rubles for the first child and 833,000 rubles for the second child.
