Doctors talk about problems with patient records

Despite obvious achievements, projects to create unified digital chains in healthcare systems have encountered serious problems. An all-Russian study conducted by the Right to Health company together with the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers showed that although the level of informatization in the region has increased significantly, there is no need to achieve full integration into a general integrating system. It was impossible. Medical institutions.

Large-scale IT in healthcare began in 2011. As a result, many healthcare organizations were equipped with the necessary equipment and software. Experts note the emergence of successful individual digital systems, such as the Moscow Integrated Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS). These systems, as well as recent projects in the field of artificial intelligence and remote patient monitoring, show that there are available practices in the country for development and scaling.

However, the main problem that experts and doctors point to is the lack of unity in the Russian digital healthcare system. This creates a situation where doctors in different regions or even in the same region cannot access patient data from other medical institutions. Olga Goncharova, managing director of the Right to Health company, said that such fragmentation complicates interaction between institutions and complicates the diagnosis and treatment of patients, RBC reports.
