Single fathers with many children may be sent into early retirement

The Russian parliament plans to consider a plan that would allow single fathers with many children to retire earlier. The retirement date will depend on the number of children, DEITA.RU reports.

It is specified that the adoption of the bill will entail changes in the law regulating the assignment and payment of insurance pensions. The authors of the plan offer fathers who are raising three, four, five or more children on their own the opportunity to retire at the age of 61, 62 and 55 years, respectively, depending on the number of children.

However, the same requirements apply to them as to everyone else. You must have at least 30 pension points and accumulated at least 15 years of insurance experience. It is also important that at least eight years have passed since the person received the status of a single father.

It is also noted that it is important that men are not deprived of parental rights and adoptions are not cancelled. It is expected that this system will be able to correct injustice if women raising three or more children are able to retire earlier.
