Tourist falls from window of marijuana-filled room at luxury Thai hotel
The incident took place on October 14 at an 18-storey hotel in the centre of Klong Toei. A security guard heard a loud noise and called the police. When the police arrived, they found a 29-year-old foreigner named Yash Dashrath Bhanushali dead on the roof of the fifth floor. He was lying in a pool of blood, shirtless and wearing long black trousers.
The police entered the room where the Indian was staying and found it full of drugs. Bags of marijuana were scattered across the table and floor. But they found no signs of a struggle. Security camera and CCTV footage also confirmed that no one had entered the guest room.
The body was taken to the Police General Hospital for postmortem. Investigators later contacted the Indian Embassy in Bangkok and informed Bhanushali's family about the incident.
In July last year, a Russian woman who had lost her memory fell out of a window in Thailand. According to preliminary data, she had been using illegal substances before the tragedy.
