The Pentagon said it had no evidence of aliens visiting Earth.
The US Department of Defense has no evidence that aliens have visited Earth, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said during a regular briefing for journalists.
Last March, the Defense Department's Global Anomalous Problems Office released a report on the U.S. government's efforts to study unidentified anomalous phenomena. The agency found no evidence that aliens had ever visited Earth. As the document notes, the Pentagon's reports of UFO and alien spacecraft claims were actually "the result of misidentification" by eyewitnesses.
Meanwhile, in 2023, former US President Donald Trump claimed that from 2017 to 2021, when he held the top post in the government, the military reported unidentified flying objects associated with extraterrestrial life. Some Air Force officials even claimed to have seen them.
