ЕС решил ужесточить миграционный контроль на границах РФ и Белоруссии
The leaders of the European Union (EU) have decided to tighten immigration controls on the border with Russia and Belarus. This is stated in the final statement of the Migration Summit.
It says that for the Schengen area to function, the EU must strengthen the protection of external borders and increase the number of coast guards and border guards to 30,000. EU countries also expressed their readiness to provide practical support to countries bordering Russia and Belarus in the fight against migrants in order to “curb the instrumentalization of migration for political purposes.”
It is worth noting that the decision to take concrete and practical measures to strengthen immigration control must now be taken at the level of Ministers of the Council of the European Union.
