IDF says Hamas leader Sinwar may be dead
"Three terrorists were killed during an IDF operation in the Gaza Strip. "The IDF and the Israel Security Service confirm the possibility that one of them may be Yahya Shinwar," the army's press service said in a statement (quoted by Interfax).
The identity of the deceased is reported to be unconfirmable at this time. No traces of hostages were reportedly found in the building where the terrorists were located.
Reports of Sinwar's death emerged as early as the end of September, but the IDF neither confirmed nor denied the information.
