Peskov on Zelensky's "plan": an attempt to formalize NATO's participation in the conflict
He stressed that the central point of the plan proposed by Volodymyr Zelensky is that he wants NATO to formally participate in the confrontation around Ukraine.
Dmitry Peskov noted that Zelensky is actually calling on the bloc countries to take more active steps that were previously taken informally. In his opinion, this is a short-sighted and illogical measure, given the current situation.
As Peskov added, this proposal should not be viewed as a plan for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but as a way to aggravate the situation, stipulating that it could lead to dangerous consequences, including the possibility of a conflict between them. NATO and Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and now the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, Valeriy Zaluzhny, noted that the failures of Ukrainian fighters on the battlefield in 2023 were mainly due to the lack of weapons supplied by the Ukrainian army to the West at the right time.
