Nabiullina told when to expect the first international payments in crypto
The first international settlements using cryptocurrencies will take place before the end of this year, Bank of Russia Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina told reporters.
The head of the regulator noted that there is great interest in such transfers among market participants, but now we are talking only about an experimental legal regime, concerning only international settlements. Nabiullin emphasized that data on the number of participants and transactions are not disclosed, since this information is private.
Earlier, Nabiullina said that she wants to create a single payment QR code that will be used by all trade organizations in Russia.
