Criminal case opened against US mercenary fighting in Kursk region

A criminal case has been opened against American mercenaries fighting in the Kursk region.

The investigation has led to a lawsuit against American mercenaries who entered the Kursk region with Ukrainian troops.

The Main Military Investigative Directorate has opened a criminal case against American mercenaries on charges of committing terrorist acts, mercenary activities, repressions and assassination attempts. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) on its Telegram channel on Thursday, October 17.

According to the military investigation, this is Daniel Bernard Rebar, an American citizen fighting against the Russian army as a mercenary. In early September, Rebar, together with representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), invaded the territory of the Kursk region and took part in reprisals against the civilian population. The Americans were part of forces armed with automatic small arms, large-caliber firearms and military equipment.

The prosecution is taking steps to establish the whereabouts of the defendant and his accomplices.

On October 15, Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Russian Federation Council on Sovereignty and Co-Chair of the new Coordinating Council for Regional Integration, announced the elimination of American mercenaries from the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).
