TASS: Former head of Otkritie Bank Romaev placed on international wanted list
Dmitry Romaev, former chairman of the board of directors of FC Otkritie Bank, has been placed on the international wanted list. This was reported by TASS, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
It is reported that he was charged in absentia with theft on an especially large scale. In addition, a criminal case was opened against him under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation was filed with the Meshchansky Court of Moscow with a motion for Romaev's arrest in absentia.
Also on October 17, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow granted the investigators' motion to choose a preventive measure in the form of Romanev's detention in absentia.
Romaev headed the board of directors of Otkritie Bank from 2013 to 2015 and was a member of the board of directors of Otkritie Holding until 2017. After leaving the bank, he participated in private investments in high-tech projects in medicine and industry.
