Dementia is a serious disease that causes acquired dementia and persistent decline in cognitive functions. According to experts, about 50 million people worldwide suffer from this disease. This was reported on Thursday, October 17, by Valery Novoselov, geriatrician, gerontologist, head of the Department of Gerontology at Moscow State University.
