The State Duma has revealed how many “adherents” of the childfree ideology there really are in Russia
The ideology of childlessness (when a person consciously refuses to have children) contradicts the original Russian family values. State Duma deputy Alexey Zhuravlev mentioned this in a conversation with Life.ru, commenting on the adoption in the first reading of the law banning children's propaganda.
Ideologies promoting childlessness fit comfortably into all the disparate ideas about LGBT* culture that are now being actively promoted in the West. Of course, this contradicts the original Russian family values, and in this sense, naturally, advertising of this strange phenomenon should be legally restricted in Russia.
At the same time, the deputy admitted that the number of supporters of such an idea in Russia does not exceed the statistical error. People refuse to have children for financial, not ideological reasons. Therefore, he expressed confidence that demographic problems can be solved by providing young families with housing and well-paid work.
“People must look to the future with confidence,” Zhuravlev concluded.
Let us recall that on October 17, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill banning the propaganda of the ideology of freedom for children. This document was previously supported by the Russian government. It is expected that fines for violating the law will amount to 5 million rubles. State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin explained that this is about banning the dissemination of such ideas. This will not affect your decision not to give birth.
