Tourist tax to be introduced in Krasnodar from 2025
For city guests it will be about 100 rubles per day.
Starting in 2025, federal law will allow cities to collect a tourist tax. And Krasnodar will take advantage of this opportunity. This was announced on October 17 by the city's mayor, Yevgeny Naumov, in his Telegram channel.
- More than a million guests come to our city every year. This creates an additional burden on the infrastructure and recreation areas and requires constant maintenance and renovation. However, until now, the development and improvement of the city was carried out only at the expense of residents' taxes. The tourist tax will eliminate this injustice, the mayor of Krasnodar wrote.
He said the tax would be paid by residents of hotels, motels, inns and hostels.
- For guests, the amount is about 100 rubles per day. But this is a good help when it comes to your budget. The head of the regional center added that already in 2025 the budget could receive an additional 94 million rubles.
He emphasized that according to this law, participants of the Great Patriotic War and special military operations, veterans, disabled people and many other categories of citizens are exempt from taxes. In Krasnodar, large families will also be included in this list.
